A 16-year-old girl, Frema Assuman who allegedly stabbed her 21-year-old boyfriend popularly known as Efo, to death at Kade in the Kwaebibirem District has been remanded into police custody.
The presiding Magistrate, Her Worship Felicia Anane Antwi of the Kade District Court directed that the suspect be kept in custody and arraigned before the court on July 8 for hearing of the case to begin.
Information gathered indicates the Frema stormed the house of the boyfriend with a knife in the evening on Saturday around 10:00 pm after a tip-off that he was flirting with her ex-girlfriend whom he has a child with. In an ensuing confusion the suspect allegedly stabbed the deceased in the chest and rib.
He bled profusely and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue.
