Concerned Party Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central region have hit the street of Cape Coast the second time to protest what they call unfair treatment against the region’s first Vice-Chairman Horace Ekow Ewusi.
The supporters drawn from the 23 constituencies are of the view that the regional chairman of the party is bent on pushing the party into opposition with his contact antagonistic tendencies against his first vice-chairman.
Ekow Ewusi, the group explain has done nothing wrong to warrant such hatred against him by the regional chairman Robert Kutin and therefore must be stopped by the national executive from dividing the front of the party for his parochial interest.
He has been suspended by the regional chairman for allegations leveled against him by one Edward Okraku Odoom who claims Ekow Ewusi had broken jail in UK as well as perpetuating some acts of corruption.
Even though the claims have been rubbished by the embattled Vice Chairman, the regional chairman still went on to suspend him.
Since then 14 out of the 23 constituency chairmen of the party have dissociated themselves from the suspension claiming the first Vice-Chairman is victimized by the regional Chairman Robert Kutin.
The concerned youth of the party are therefore calling on the National Executive body to call the Regional chairman Robert Kutin to order since his actions could spell doom for the party in the 2020 elections as they could have their 19 seats lost.
They have also given the National Executive Committee a week ultimatum to restore Ekow Ewusi to his position or face their wrath.
