The Bureau of National Investigation(BNI) will soon conclude it’s months-long investigations into alleged corrupt activities involving some past and the current administration of the state-owned Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMT) in the Ashanti region.

The Calvary Charismatic Church (CCC) for some years now relies on the Metro Mass Transit limited to convey is members to and from church, particularly during the church’s special programs.

Our sources say the state-owned transport company hasn’t been able to account for monies accrued through renting out the buses to the church in Kumasi for some years now.

The BNI’s Investigation into the operations of MMT was fueled by the Ashanti regional manager of the company Nicholas Oduro’s alleged letter to the BNI in request for some Staff and former managers in erstwhile John Dramani Mahama’s administration to be investigated over failure to account for some business transactions and other procurement related matters.

Mr. Nicolas Oduro, our sources say has for the past two weeks been assisting the BNI investigation where he and other staff appear before the investigative agency.

A source at the office of the respected General Overseer of the Calvary Charismatic Church said, “the church has been contacted by the BNI and has furnished the state investigative body with the needed information and evidence to carry out its lawful mandate into the ongoing investigation.”

This has heightened fear among some supposed corrupt Senior staff of MMT linked to the issues under investigations particularly those who handle procurement among others.

The BNI investigation which is expected to be concluded this week will be made available to the Special Prosecutor hopefully next month to facilitate prosecution of those found guilty.
