Defunct Ideal Finance Limited has denied media reports that its CEO, Dr. Nii Kotei Dzani has been arrested over misappropriation of some funds in his care.

Media reports had claimed the Council of State member was detained at the Ministries Police Station for some hours before being released on bail.

The report alleged that he was arrested over the misappropriation of some GHc 1,000,000.00 entrusted to him during the operation of his financial outfit.

But Groupe Ideal in a statement signed by Director, Corporate Communications & Strategy Ekow Blankson urged the public to ignore and treat as fake news the reports of the arrest of Dr. Dzani.

It explained that Dr. Dzani was only invited by the Economic and Organized Crime Office(EOCO) to assist in investigations as part of ongoing investigations to the reasons that led t the revocation of the company’s licenses just is being done to the leadership of banks, financial houses, savings and loans companies whose license has been revoked by the Bank of Ghana.

“Dr. Dzani reported last week and yesterday he was again at the offices of EOCO to aid the investigations. We are committed to rule of law and at the end, justice will prevail and we be vindicated,” the statement concluded.
