Fear has gripped the people of Dompin- Pepesa in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region following the alleged murder of a six-year-old girl by two unknown assailants.
Confirming the incident to Empire FM’s Emmanuel Ohene-Gyan, Chief of the community Ohyeawora Bian Nyonwa Panyin IV said the assailants allegedly attacked the little girl who was in the company of two of her sisters after fetching water from a nearby river.
The Chief revealed that the assailants, after allegedly cutting the throat of the young girl, gruesomely removed his tongue and heart, and bolted, leaving the lifeless body of the young girl in a bush nearby.
He said it was too late to arrest the perpetrators even though the two sisters raised the alarm.
The police were subsequently informed about the incident and have since commenced investigations.
