Veteran musician Gyedu Blay Ambolley has said the 72-hour ultimatum given to him by Okyeame Kwame to retract and apologise over a defamatory comment he made against the latter is not enough.
He told 3FM after he received notice that he interacted with Okyeame Kwame and asked for more time.
According to him, he is not ready to apologise within the 72 hours, emphasising that he will need a week to make his checks and revert accordingly.
“We spoke and I told him that a week after, I would come back to him because I know that some things happened there… If he wants to take it to court, he can. He is part and parcel of those that were surrounding Obour. Like he said, he was with Obour for two years. If he says he didn’t receive it, that’s fine,
“It’s something that happened. If he says he did not receive anything, let him say he didn’t receive anything. But I know those who surrounded Obour, some monies were issued to them.” Ambolley noted.

Gyedu Blay Ambolley claimed that former president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour), gave huge sums of money to a tune of Ghc50,000 to his close friends, one of which is Okyeame Kwame.
Okyeame Kwame’s lawyers have refuted claims about the allegations saying they are false. The lawyers mentioned that their client’s reputation has therefore been tainted in the eyes of well-meaning Ghanaians.
