Ghana’s massive interdenominational Cathedral project(National Cathedral) will begin tomorrow, Thursday, 5 March 2020.

There will be a ground breaking, the laying of the foundation stone at the Ridge site by President Nana Akufo-Addo, tomorrow as part of the ceremony to kick-start construction, officials say.

Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Victor Kusi Boateng has said in several interviews that all is set for construction to begin on Thursday.

A host of dignitaries across the length and breadth of the country and beyond are expected to grace the “groundbreaking” on Thursday.

The vision of the much-awaited edifice to be built in the heart of the capital city, Accra, came to light in March 2017, as cited by President Akufo-Addo in his speech celebrating Ghana’s 60th anniversary of independence.

The edifice is estimated to cost some $100million.
