The Member of Parliament for Ekumfi Constituency who doubles as Deputy Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Hon. Francis Kingsley Ato Cudjoe has donated items that will aid in the prevention of Coronavirus to the 54 communities in the Ekumfi District.

The items include: 300 Veronica buckets, over 2,000 hand sanitizers, 2,500 nose marks, soaps, gloves, Liquid soaps and an undisclosed amount of money to help prevent COVID 19.

Hon. said Ato Cudjoe stated that the Ekumfi District is ready to combat COVID 19 and he has, therefore repaired the District hospital’s broken down vehicle to add up to an old ambulance to help respond to any emergency in the district in case they encounter any suspected cases.

Aside from the donation of the COVID 19 materials, he also donated 20 hospital beds, 15 scales, over 30 bedsheets, 20 thermometers to all the health centers in the Ekumfi District.

In an interview with Kasapa FM news Yaw Boagyan, the District Chief Executive for the area Hon. Bernard Bright Grant also on behalf of the Chiefs and the good peoples of Ekumfi thanked the deputy Minister for such donations.

He promised to make sure that every community under the Ekumfi District Assembly will take the handwashing exercise seriously in order, not to contract the COVID 19.

The district has banned funerals, drinking bar operations, and any social gathering events.

The Ekumfi District Assembly has also educated people on how to comply with social distancing.
