Ghanaian footballer, Kwadwo Asamoah has donated $20,000 to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) towards the COVID-19 fight in Ghana.

The Inter Milan player who is currently in Italy says the donation is his contribution to the global pandemic which has brought sporting activities across the globe to a halt.

Asamoah who hails from the Ashanti Region believed it was appropriate to make donation to the region he grew up in.

The cheque presentation was done by Kwadwo Asamoah’s father on April 14.

Kwadwo Asamoah has been one of Ghana’s finest players the last decade, playing for big sides such as Juventus and Inter Milan in that period.

Ghana has so far recorded 636 cases of the coronavirus with 8 people confirmed dead from the disease
