The Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Golf City in the Tema North District under the Meridian Ghana Conference, on Monday April 20, 2020, distributed some food items to its members to cushion them after the lifting of the three weeks partial lockdown in the Greater Accra, Tema, Kasoa and Greater Kumasi Metropolitan areas.
The items include bags of rice, cooking oil and gari.
The first Elder of the Church, Elder Abednego Osei, presenting the food items to the members in a brief ceremony, admonished them never to lose faith in the Lord especially, in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
He urged the church members to keep praying for deliverance from the Covid-19 pandemic.
He stressed that the food items were the Church window’s mite to its members, especially, the weak and the less privileged.
Elder Oswald Agyei-Boateng who assisted in the distribution, advised members of the church to stick to the social distancing and other sanitary protocols to help curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
Elder Agyei Boateng was optimistic that the food items will go a long way to provide some relief to the church members after being kept indoors for three weeks.
The church members on their part, expressed their appreciation to the leadership of the Gulf City SDA Church for their thoughtful gesture.
