Pollster, Ben Ephson says the Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party(CPP), Samia Yaaba Nkrumah will fail in her bid to get the nod of the party as Presidential candidate for the 2016 general elections.

Ephson contended that the emergence of political dynasty has never succeeded in the political landscape in Ghana, hence the CPP leader cannot pull through on account of the fact that her father was once President of the country.

“Samia should forget it; political dynasty doesn’t work in this country,” Ephson told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Wednesday.

Samia Yaaba Nkrumah, has hinted of contesting the presidency of the country in 2016.

Meanwhile the 2012 candidate for the same party, Dr Abu Abu Sakara Foster has  emphasized that the time has come for the Nkrumaist parties to take that bold decision of uniting themselves, adding that the parties remain disunited to their own disadvantage.

“If we do not come together and hold hands, we surely are going to be pushed off the political scene all together. When you look at the last election, the CPP, PNC, PPP, GCPP all put together we had less than one percent. This tells you that the NDC and NPP are taking over the political space leaving virtually none for the other parties. Sometimes you have to use numbers and not only talk out of emotions. Our unity must come at the cost of personal ambitions, egos, selfishness and at the expense of hard work so that our goals are achieved”.
