Members of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in Gomoa Dominase, in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, have invoked curses on the incumbent MP for Gomoa East, Kojo Asemanyi, accusing him of being behind the disqualification of his competitor who’s their preferred candidate.
They extended the curse to the National Executives, Regional Executives, and the Constituency Executives for the injustice done their candidate.
According to them, the disqualification of Richard Panford who hails from their town is a ploy to allow the incumbent MP to go unopposed.
Speaking to Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan, the former Assemblymember for the Dominase Electoral area Simon Baah stated that the delegates from the town will not support the incumbent MP in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
“The New Patriotic Party will lose massively in the Gomoa East Constituency if they allow him to go unopposed. He has done nothing to the New Patriotic Party since he became the Member of Parliament and so he doesn’t deserve to continue being our MP after the 2020 election,” he said.
Meanwhile, the NPP is scheduled to go to the polls on June 20, 2020, to elect Parliamentary candidates for the December 7 national Parliamentary elections.
