Persons who had thronged the voters’ registration centre at the University of Education Winneba, Ajumako Campus to register, had to wait for some time as the overgrown centre had to be weeded before the exercise could start.

Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan who toured the registration centre reported that the snake and scorpion-infested area had to be cleared by the University’s labourers to prevent anyone from being bitten by attacked by an animal.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Ajumako Enyan Essiam District has warned strangers against coming to the area to register.

“No one outside the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District should be allowed to register, we don’t want any confusion in this area. We want to continue to enjoy our peace.”
