Suspected narcotic substance found on hi life musician Ekow Micah turned positive when it was subjected to a forensic test.

The substance weighed 127 grams.

An Accra Circuit Court presided by His Honour Aboagye Tandoh last month ordered for the substance to be tested at the Forensic Laboratory of the Ghana Police Service to establish its identity.

Kasapa FM’s court correspondent, Daakyehene Ofosu Agyemang reported that the third witness Mercy Agyepong who is also a Forensic Laboratory Technician, testified in court today that the police received a compressed plant material which they tested and the result made known to the courts.

Lawyer for the accused, Andrew Coudjoe prayed the court to allow him some time to study the lab report to make him better informed to cross examine the witnesses.

His Honour Aboagye Tandoh who presided over the court, granted the request and adjourned the case to Thursday 15th October. .

Ekow Micah was arrested at his Ogbojo residence by the Airport Police in Accra for his complexity in what looks an extortion attempt gone bad.

He is one of three people who were picked and questioned by the police for various roles played in a case in which one Sarah Kwablah, accused Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan of rape.
