Ghana’s largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress(NDC) has sacked 18 of its members who have decided to go independent in the forthcoming December 7 elections.

The said persons have consequently forfeited their membership by their decision.

The General Secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia in a statement said party supporters who also endorsed the nomination of the candidates have violated the party’s laws.

Ghana is set to go to the polls on December 7 to elect a President and 275 Parliamentarians to manage the affairs of the country for the next four years.
