A Ghanaian-born radio presenter with Silverbird Nigeria’s Rhythm 93.7 FM, Ifeoma ‘Iphie’ Aggrey-Fynn, has been shot dead.

Aggrey-Fynn was shot yesterday in a bus raid by unknown assailants along the Aba-Port Harcourt expressway in Nigeria. She was returning from her parents’ when the commercial bus she was aboard got attacked by the gunmen.

A talented young broadcaster, she was also a writer, blogger, public speaker, and live events host. She worked with the Port Harcourt branch of the station. Silverbird operates the Rhythm FM brand across six Nigerian states/towns.

Born to a Nigerian mother and a Ghanaian father, Aggrey-Fyn Ifeoma is a graduate of Linguistics and communication studies. She started off as a television presenter in 2003.

She joined Rhythm in 2009. Prior to her Port Harcourt stint, she presented “Rhythm N Soul”, a mid-morning show on Rhythm 95.7 (Akwa branch).
