Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Woode

The Committee established by the Chief Justice to investigate the 7 High court judges in the judicial corruption scandal will resume sitting today, October 19.

The implicated judges who seen in a video allegedly taking bribes compromise justice in cases that were before them were suspended by the President on the advice of the judicial council.

Their suspension comes after the establishment of a prima facie case against them after a committee set up to investigate a petition from Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI group for the 12 Justices to be removed from office.

Some 34 judges and magistrates and over 140 judicial staff were captured on video taking bribes to influence cases before their courts.
