President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will leave Ghana today [December 14, 2020] for the Ivory Coast and Guinea to attend the inauguration ceremonies of the West African leaders, President Alassane Ouattara and President Alpha Condé.
A tweet by the Information Minister on Sunday said the President will move to London after the two ceremonies before returning to Ghana.
“President @NAkufoAddo will be in Abidjan tomorrow for the inauguration of @AOuattara_PRCI as President. On Tuesday, he will be in Guinea for the inauguration of President Conde. He will then continue to London before returning to Accra,” the Minister tweeted.
Ivory Coast’s Alassane Ouattara and Guinea’s Alpha Condé both won their re-election bid in polls embroiled in dispute amidst legal challenges.
Mr. Ouattara, however, will be sworn in on December 14, while Condé will be sworn in on December 15, 2020.
