Minority Leader and 19 other NDC MPs will face the Accra Circuit court today, Monday, January 04, 2020, over the Minority’s protest march to the headquarters of the Electoral Commission.

They have been charged with unlawful assembly for failing to notify the Police of holding of a special event contrary to Section 1(1) and (2) and 9(a) of the Public Order Act, 1994(Act 491).

The accused persons have been directed to appear before the court today, Monday, per a summons issued by the circuit court.

The lawmakers mentioned in the suit are Haruna Iddrisu, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, Samuel George, John Abdulai Jinapor, Rockson Defiamekpor, Ras Mubarak, Mutawakilu Adam, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, Dr. Kwabena Donkor, A.B. Fuseini,  Kwabena Minta Akando, Yusif Issaka Jaja,

The others are Isaac Adongo, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, James Klutse Avedzi, James Agalga, Collins Dauda, Abdul Rashid Pelpuo, Richard Quashigah, and Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings.
