Executive Secretary of the National Coalition for Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning has said it is not only the president who must condemn LGBTQ but Chiefs, Pastors, Politicians, Journalists and all other stakeholders should speak out.
Speaking on Agoo FM Monday, Moses Foh Amoaning stated categorically that, ‘’political leaders who fail to condemn this act will never lead this country. He moreover expressed worry over some pastors who were active during the election period inability to condemn same sex marriage.
“Pastors who were always talking during the election, have you heard them speaking on this matter? Those who want to lead this country; I have heard about our vice president Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and Alan Kyeremanteng, they must speak out! The former President H E John Dramani Mahama, we will be visiting them. Our chiefs and queen mothers… Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu, we know his cordial relationship with the United Nations but this battle is for Ghanaians, he must fight for us …Okyehene must speak’’ he stated in an interview on the morning show.
Moses Foh Amoaning said this fight should not be partisan adding that “we will not allow them to create division among us; the politicians must be united to condemn this indecent act.
‘’Any politician who will decide not to talk, Ghanaians will pray against you. Ghanaians must speak out and the president will listen, that’s the reason why he has given instructions to close down their offices. ”
He continued that, Ghana was saved by prayers over covid-19. According to him the foreigners have all the money, vaccines but they are dying unlike Ghanaians saying, “do you remember the president declared fasting and prayers last year over COVID-19?
“Spiritually God has Ghana at heart so they are jealous of us. So we have declared 5th 6th and 7th March for prayers against same LGBTQ with some prominent people in the ministry which include Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah and others.
Commenting on the matter National PRO for Parents Teachers Association Irene Sam said parents have major role to play in the fight against LGBTQ. She urged parents to monitor their children all the time and ensure none of them engage themselves in the act.
