Some Schools in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region have benefited from donations done by the Educare Unit Ghana a Non-Governmental Organizations in Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.
Some of the items donated are over 1000 exercise books 1500 pens, 1500 pencils,1500 erasers,1500 pencil sharpener, 600 mathematical sets,1500 Holy Bibles, and many items that may be needed by them to enhance their studies.
The beneficial schools include Ajumako Methodist Basic School, Enyan Nsawadze Methodist and D/A School and Golden Bridge Academy School all in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.
Speaking to EIB Network’s Central Regional Correspondent Yaw Boagyan the Public Relations Officer for the Organizations who is also an Assembly Member for Ajumako Ekutuase Electoral Area Mr Richard Enos said that they are embarking on a back to school campaign after the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and they wished all the students return to school.
He said due to this, the organization decided to give out exercise books, Mathematical Sets, Pens, Pencils, Erasers, Holy Bibles to some of the schools which have been depopulated after the school resumptions to encouraged the students to return back to school.
Mr Maxwell Kyeremeh CEO of Educare said the main objective of the organization is to encouraged Students to be active in school hence they always go to villages to educate the parents on the need to send their wards to school.
According to him, the organization has embarked on many activities such as educating the masses on the need to follow the COVID 19 Protocols notably in the deprived communities, Organizing Quizzes and awards for the Schools, donating nose masks and hand sanitisers to market women and Students in the district and educating pupils on personal hygiene among others.
He also thanked the sponsors notably the Central Regional NPP Youths Organizer Mr Anthony Kwesi Sackey for his support and other supporters.
Lastly, the Teacher for Enyan Nsawadze D/A Basic School Stephen Osam Koomson also appealed to the Government to support them complete their uncompleted school building to end the congestions in the classrooms.
He on behalf of all the beneficial schools thanked the organizations for their donations and appealed to the public to emulate same.
