Awutu Ofaakor Circuit Court presided over by His Honor Ebenezer Osei Darko has sentenced four armed robbers to 18 years imprisonment each for allegedly robbing and raping a pregnant woman at Awutu Breku in the Awutu Senya West District in the Central Region.
The robbers, Solomon Quaye alias Cee 26 years, Edwin Paa Kwesi 28 years, Benjamin Mensah 22 years, Paul Sekyi 24 years all reside at Agbogbloshie in the Greater Accra Region.
Awutu Breku Police Commander, Chief Inspector Stephen Tamaklo in an interview with EIB Network Central Regional Correspondent Yaw Boagyan said the suspects robbed three houses at a go and raped the victim during their operation.
They were later arrested at their Agbogbloshie hideout.
The suspects have been transported to the Ankaful Prisons in the Central Region where they will be serving 18 years each.
