Leader of disbanded pro-NPP vigilante group, Delta Force, Kwadwo Bamba has debunked claims by the former Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator, DCOP Ayensu Opare Addo (Retired) suggesting that those who removed him from office are Delta Force members.

According to him, the group has been dissolved and doubts if the persons mentioned in the matter were really members of the disbanded group.

“I really know DCOP Ayensu Addo. What happened at the Ashanti region in connection with the National Security liaison officer was not carried out by any Delta Force member. There are a lot of things that we cannot make public,” he told Kasapa 102.5 FM.

The Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator, DCOP Ayensu Opare Addo (rtd) who was hounded by members of the NPP vigilante group, Delta Force has linked his ordeal partly to what he believes is his hardline against galamsey in the region.

DCOP retired Ayensu Opare Addo claimed he’s had brushes with members of the group constantly who suspect he’s an impediment to their galamsey business.

“I know these Delta Force guys have been disturbing me a lot wanting to do this galamsey thing and I was always against them,” he told Francis Abban on Starr FM Monday.

In sharp rebuttal, Bamba said the best agency that can tell Ghanaians about persons who were involved in the sacking of DCOP Opare Addo is the National Security.

“I know Mohammed Seidu, I got to know him when we formed the Delta Force and we made him Director for the group. I’ll have to go back and investigate to understand whether or not is the Seidu that we know who actually led those guys to carry out the attack” he stated.
