The Director of elections for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh says the party will soon come clear on its presentation delivered yesterday at the Electoral Commission forum, insisting that the party’s delegate at the function failed to hit the core issues upheld by the CPP on the voters register.

He claimed the party’s representative only stepped in the shoes of the General Secretary who is at the moment out of jurisdiction.

Some have alleged that the CPP’s Yaw Adu Larbi, a policy analyst of the party did not treat the issues as expected, as his submissions were short of substance at the debate yesterday.

Commenting on the issue, Kwabena Bomfeh told sit-in host Yaa Serwaa Akoto on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM that “If he had met with the rank and file of the party to get a proper insight on the official position of the party, it could have fine tuned his presentation yesterday.

However, he said ” I’m sure very soon the chairman and leader of our party will speak authoritatively on the subject”

Contrary to what critics say about the EC forum ongoing in the capital, Accra, the  Director of elections has emphasised that the forum is critical to determining the way forward of the country’s electoral database.

He’s commended the EC for providing the platform for such debate on the current register.

The two-day event,  continues today and will give the platform for other invited stakeholders to take turn and argue their case on the current electoral database.
