The Human Rights Division of the Accra High Court is expected to hear the interlocutory injunction application filed by some law students contesting their alleged failure in the Ghana School of Law entrance examination.
That particular case, involving 143 of the aggrieved students, was adjourned to November 9 in the last court hearing.
In the said suit, the General Legal Council (GLC) and the Attorney General (AG) have been served as the 1st and 2nd respondents respectively.
The plaintiffs want their fundamental human rights enforced after they were denied admission despite their firm conviction of passing the Ghana School of Law entrance exams.
The General Legal Council(GLC) has stated it will be impossible to admit the 499 students who have been agitating against the Council over claims that they did not meet the pass mark of at least 50% score in the entrance exams.
The students had petitioned Parliament and staged protests over their denial.
Meanwhile, Parliament has directed the General Legal Council to admit the 499 students denied admission into the Ghana School of Law despite making the 50 percent pass mark.
