Former flag bearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Alan Kyerematen has denied issuing a statement on the recent development in the party.

He said the press release currently circulating in the media, attributed to him and purporting to convey his comments on the NPP internal wrangling must be dismissed with the contempt that it deserves.

A statement signed by Mr Kyeremanten’s Special Aide, Nana Yaw Adutwum said the former Trade and Industry Minister considers it most inappropriate for anyone to have sought to do so.

“Mr. Kyerematen has made it very clear in his recent public remarks, particularly during the Rise and Build tour led by the Flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, that he is fully committed to helping build a strong united party, that will prosecute an aggressive ”all hands on deck” campaign for victory in the 2016 General elections.”

The statement added that “Mr. Kyerematen is therefore working actively with other senior members of the party to restore peace and calm at this crucial moment and he is hopeful that the NPP will come out of this storm, stronger and battle ready for Election 2016.”
