The Communications Director of the Ghana National Freedom Party (GFP) Alex Ababio says the 2012 Flagbearer of the party, Akua Donkor only churned out her personal views on the voters register at the recent Electoral commission  forum, alluding that Donkor’s opinion on the electoral roll does not represent the official position of the GFP.

Ababio contends that the leader of the party essentially made those submissions contrary to what he says the party has already submitted to the EC.

Reacting to the issues from the forum organised last week on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, the Communications Director of the GFP said ” The party has done the necessary research and groundwork on the voters register and we believe that creating a new voters register is the best option for Ghana under the current circumstances”

He claimed the party believed that the current electoral database is not credible, and hence cannot be the basis for electing a President in the 2016 elections.

Founder and Leader of the  Ghana National Freedom Party (GFP) Madam Akua Donkor, has strongly emphasised that the opposition New Patriotic Party’s demand for a new voters’ register for election 2016, will not be granted.

Delivering what was generally known to be her party’s position on the voters register at the Electoral Commission forum, Madam Akua Donkor, said there is nothing wrong with the current  register.

She’s put up a strong defense to her submissions, alleging that minors who register necessarily do not vote but rather use the card for other purposes.
