President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, has assured businessmen and women participating in the Expo 2020 in Dubai that Ghana is ready for business.
He explained that a number of bottlenecks had been removed to ensure the transaction of smoother business in Ghana.
He mentioned some of them as the institution of a digital address system, and the Ghana card which helps easier identification.
The President gave this assurance after a flag raising ceremony to mark Ghana day at the Expo, Tuesday morning (March 8, 2022).
The Expo which began on October 1, 2021 will end on March 31, 2022.
It is on the theme “Connecting Minds, creating the Future ” and is based on the belief that innovation and progress are the result of people and ideas coming together in inspiring new ways.
Two hundred participants from all over the world are participating in the event.
President Akufo-Addo said Ghana, which is advantageously geographically located had an independent judiciary which respected individual rights to property.
He mentioned Ghana as the second largest producer of cocoa which was rich in mineral resources such as bauxite and invitee business men and women for business.
He said Ghana was determined to deepen relationship with Dubai.
The United Arab Emirates Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi earlier welcomed the president and his delegation and hoped that the Expo would be a catalyst for new business opportunities.
He hoped that the delegation would have an exemplary Expo experience.
