During its last meeting held on 27 and 28 October 2015 in Cairo, the Executive Committee of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) deliberated and decided to lift suspensions on some associations regarding the U-17 and U-20 (Men) competitions.

For the U-17, the concerned member associations include Benin, Burundi, Central African Republic, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Mauritania, Sierra Leone and South Sudan.

For the U-20, they are Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Lesotho and South Sudan.

This means that all 54 member associations are eligible for the qualifiers of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations Madagascar 2017 and Africa U-20 Cup of Nations Zambia 2017.

The deadline for confirmation of engagements in the two competitions has been set for 31 December 2015.
