The President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo has arrived in the Upper West Region ahead of his two-day tour of that region.

Sources say he will hold meetings with the party leadership and the regional minister following the recent media banter in that region.

Prior to the president’s visit, Upper West Regional executives of the governing NPP directed party members not to participate in activities lined-up for the tour. This according to the party was to protest what they described as a one-man show being run by the Regional Minister Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih.

The Regional Minister however denied the claims by the party leading to a series of meetings to resolve the impasse.

They later smoked the peace pipe and urged their members to give the president their full support as he begins the tour.

The president is expected to commission a Solar Power Project in Kaleo in the Nadowli-Kaleo district, inspect the ongoing Agenda 111 project in Lambussie among other ongoing projects in the Upper West Region.

President Akufo Addo is also expected to call on newly enskinned Nandom Naa among other traditional rulers in the region.

He is expected to inspect ongoing projects and cut the sod for the construction of some roads in the area.
