Ghanaian priest and politician, Christian Kwabena Andrews, says greed on the part of some Ghanaians will cause them to continue falling for scams perpetrated by fetish priestess turned Pastor, Patricia Asieduaa aka Nana Agradaa.
His comment comes on the back of the arrest of Nana Agradaa following allegations of a money-doubling scam leveled against her by some members of the public.
The suspect is currently assisting the police investigation.
The Police in a statement said, “Anyone who is a victim of the alleged money doubling scam should report to the Accra Regional Police Command for further action to assist the investigation.”
On Saturday, videos emerged on social media of her victims wailing at the church premises at Weija in Accra after she allegedly swindled them.
Nana Agradaa is said to have earlier promised on TV to give away GH¢300,000 to her congregation with the guarantee of doubling any amount of money an individual offers her.
The news drew a large crowd to the church on Saturday to give various amounts of money with the hope of having it multiplied.
But Nana Agradaa after taking their monies, shut her church doors and absconded after delivering a sermon. This prompted the police to arrest her.
Commenting on the issue on Ghana Kasa show on Kasapa 102.5FM/Agoo TV Monday, Christian Kwabena Andrews aka Osofo Kyiri Abosom said it is only greedy persons who will go to a church asking for their money to be doubled from a supposed pastor who already has a bad track record.
“Most Ghanaians are greedy, they don’t like to work hard to earn money. How on earth will you go to a church where free money is promised to congregants? Not even Jesus shared money when he came to this earth. You need to work hard to get money, you fish for money for yourself. I don’t know what is wrong with some Ghanaians who are driven by greed. Agraada never forced anyone to come to her, people went there out of greed and so they should bear the consequence of their actions.
Osofo Kyri Abosom added that he was not surprised by the latest news about Nana Agraada due to the previous life she lived allegedly scamming lots of people.
