Thieves have broken into Kingdom witness Church at Awutu Bereku in the Central Region and made away with GHC10K cash, instruments, and bottles of Communion wine.

The thieves who are yet to be identified broke the windows to get access to the church auditorium.

The church members had the shock of their lives when they got to the church premises on Monday dawn to worship and found out that the place had been ransacked and cash and items stolen.

According to the church members, this was not the first time such an incident has happened to the church, adding that about ten churches in Awutu Beraku township have had their instruments stolen within a year.

Meanwhile, the Elder of the Church Ato Kwamena has called on Police to beef up security in the Area.

According to him, what pains him most is that the Communion wine had been prepared to be used during this coming Sunday’s December 4, 2022, Communion Service.

He said, due to that, the Month of December Communion service which is held on every first Sunday of the month will be suspended, adding that the thieves by their actions have brought upon themselves curses.

The case has been reported to the Awutu Bereku Police for an investigation to commence.
