A former Municipal Chief Executive of Obuasi under the John Mahama administration, Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi aka Zuba insists the violence that occurred at the largest opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) youth and women’s wing elections was a dress rehearsal for the party’s bid for election 2024.

The failed Ashanti Regional Organizer candidate for the NDC insists the party foresees a similar unleashing of national security operatives on NDC supporters as he says was witnessed in the Techiman Electoral Violence that resulted in the death of some electorates.

Speaking to Julius Ceasar Anadem on Kumasi-based, Ultimate FM, Zuba stated that the chronology of violent clashes that have characterized the party’s internal elections is part of a series of rehearsals meant to prepare party faithful for the next national elections.

“Everybody within the NDC now knows that because of what happened to us in Techiman and other places, the government is going to unleash much more than whatever we experienced in 2020. So wherever we meet we do rehearsals ahead of the 2024 elections.

“The NDC will not lie low in the 2024 election. When people in government perpetuate crime and get away with it you say I should not prepare and meet them? Don’t get the NDC supporter at the base to be timid. The government must do the right thing and let the space be congenial and we’ll fall in line.”
