The inflation rate for the month of November 2022 has hit 50.3% according to data from the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS).

The GSS’ release on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, revealed that the prices of food, housing, transport, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels continue to rise.

Per the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data released by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), food inflation for the month of November rose to 55.3% as non-food inflation also rose to 46.5%.

The Government Statistician, Professor Samuel Kobina Anim disclosed that the Eastern Region recorded the highest inflation among the 16 regions of the country with 63.3%, whereas Volta Region recording the lowest inflation of 34.5%

He added that Inflation for the month of November increased 8.6%.
