Frank Davies, Lawyer for Mr. Philip Addison says if executives of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Klottey Korley constituency had the chance to study the writ petitioned in court by his client, they would have advised themselves well on any empty threat.
Phillip Addison and Nii Adjei Tawiah have filed a joint suit at the High Court praying the court to annul the Korle Klottey parliamentary primary results.
The two are contending that results of the August 2 election which was pronounced in favour of Valentino Nii Noi was illegal.
They’re arguing that more than half of the delegates were disenfranchised, which they claim contravenes the tenets of democratic principles set to govern the elections.
Alhaji Aliu Karbe, Vice Chairman of the party at the constituency who is enraged by the development on legal battles in respect of the primaries has called for disciplinary actions against the two who are in court.
But Mr. Frank Davies who was livid with the action by the constituency executives said in an interview with an Accra-based Citi FM that the chairman(Alhaji Aliu Karbe) lacked understanding of what is contained in the writ, and that he’s only making pronouncements in vacuum.
“if he has read the writ he will not come on radio and pontificate the way he’s doing. He should have asked for a copy of the writ before making such empty pronouncements.”
