An identification exercise is to be carried out at the 37 Military Hospital for families who lost relatives in Wednesday June 3’s floods and inferno at the Nkrumah Circle GOIL Filling Station.

“Affected families have been asked to write the names of their missing loved ones to facilitate the identification process,” state broadcaster GBC says.

Wednesday’s inferno and floods has resulted in over 200 deaths. Officials say they are still counting losses in a salvage operation expected to end Sunday.

Authorities at the military hospital told Kasapafmonline.com Friday the facility has recorded a total of 66 deaths with more on admission and receiving treatment.
