I may not be the Pope and indeed I cannot be one since I am married with kids but one thing I learnt at my Sunday school days that I will never forget is the story of Elisha.

Prophet Elisha, was a political activist and revolutionary in his nature. He led the “holy war” that extinguished the house of Omri in Jerusalem as well as Samaria (2Kings 9-10). Folks let me emphasize Samaria and not Samira since in these day and age, people easily get high blood pressure when they see semblance of names.

The Political Activist who started his political career since childhood has come of age and is very much ready to take this country to the next level. Just like what the Prophet Elisha is noted for, Alan promises to be the transformational leader of our time.

The idea of one being accepted or branded as a transformational leader is not something that is bought, rather one’s works be it in the private sector or the public sector will establish that accolade.

Many transformational leaders in the last century have had common traits which includes their honesty, pragmatism and above all their long ranged visions.

In private life, Alan has done so much for Ghana, Africa and the world through his Empretec that later was adopted by the UN to become Enterprise Africa which is credited with training most of the entrepreneurs we have in Africa.

In public life, most of the trade sector initiatives of Ghana has been his works. Talk about the Friday wear that came to liberate the textile industry from total collapse in the early 2000s, talk of the President Special initiatives, talk of about the 10-Points industrial Transformation Agenda which he initiated which has yielded massive results in the area of Automobile, Pharmaceutical etc.

I happened to had travel to Takoradi over the weekend for some pressing engagements and while eating at some corner, I saw a Peugeot pickup that came to park. After having my lunch and was about moving my vehicle, I saw some inscriptions on the vehicle that read “Assembled in Ghana”. This caught my attention and so decided to take pictures of the vehicle.

The decision to take pictures of the vehicle was motivated by the fact that many atimes, the lies that are told by politicians have made it very difficult for citizens to have confidence in the various programs that are initiated by government and its success story. I have on a number of occasions heard the Former Minister for Trade and Industry and next NPP Flagbearer as well as next President of the land come 7th of January, 2025 say that the Automotive Development Policy his ministry implemented has been a success which position sometimes has been denied by his political opponents be it within and without.

The vehicle that I saw gave me the assurance that with the right vision, mindset, pragmatism and honesty especially paying attention to details, Ghana will be the country to beat in not too distant a future.

So we have been told that Elisha was a revolutionary.Transformational Leaders are revolutionary in nature. Alan went to the Ministry of Trade and promised to implement 1D1F and true to his words, we have 126 of such factories fully operational currently. Alan promised to have Strategic Anchor Industries such as the Automobile companies established plants in Ghana to initially Assemble with the medium and long term objective of producing the vehicles and its components all in Ghana. This he has achieved.

The man who promises and delivers, how on earth will anybody doubt him when he says he is coming in with the vision of Revolutionizing our Agriculture and also enhancing our Industrial Transformation?

We have an opportunity in Alan to right the wrongs of yesterday.
