The incumbent member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram constituency, Mr. E.T Mensah has threaten to take legal actions against his major contender in the contest Sam George for scheming to soil his reputation.
“There are things that i will deal with them legally; it is on the basis of his lies and treachery that we found ourselves here.” Mr. E. T told journalists at a Press Conference Saturday after officials called off the primary at the Ningo Prampram constituency.
Sam George has accused E.T Mensah of masterminding an assault against him in Saturday’s elections.
But E.T reacting to allegations leveled against him, by the Presidential staffer said “if it is violence it is Samuel Nartey George and his land guard campaign manager doing all of this.”
Some clashes between alleged supporters of incumbent NDC MP in the Ningo Prampram constituency, ET Mensah, and his contender Sam Dzata George has left one person hospitalized while several others are reported injured.
The hoodlums were said to have pounced on a number of people believed to be loyal to George, and inflicted wounds on them.
Kasapa News‘ Benjamin Amuzu, who is reporting from the constituency says that some of George’s supporters who survived the brutality have since taken hostage at a Police station.
However, the incumbent E.T Mensah said the allegations are untrue.
“we have had elections and my people have not seen this before. They know me in this place, and they know the boy is telling lies.”
