Playwright and director James Ebo Whyte aka Uncle Ebo says Ghana is blessed with good people but the people they attract when they get power are the cause of their change in behavior.

He said  this when he met with the press last Thursday at Osu to give a brief about his last quarter play called Puppeteers which comes off this weekend and the weekend after at the national theatre.

“The big men get to the top with good intentions but power and the people they attract are those who make them who they are. I believe that there are some people who are just waiting to use others’ position to champion their course,” he said.

According to him, his new play Puppeteers is a play that will open the minds of those who hold top positions and enlighten them to be vigilant and watch out for people who will in one way or the other want to make them look bad in the eyes of the public.

“Moses wakes up in his new town with a refreshed purpose: to patch up with his ex-wife. Little did he know that he’d just walked into his worst nightmare that would threaten his career, his Integrity and the love of the only woman he’s ever loved,” the synopsis of the play read.
