The Greater Accra Police Command has filed a motion at the court to solve the issue of routes for the Minority in Parliament upcoming demonstration and picketing at the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
The action followed the Minority’s steadfast stance that it will use its chosen routes notwithstanding the reservations voiced by the police over such routes.
The Police have emphasized that the routes chosen will negatively impact public order and safety.
“As a result, the Police with best interest of public safety in mind have been left with no alternative but to seek legal recourse by approaching the court to determine the matter.
“Accordingly, today 30th August 2023, the Police filed an application at the court,” the Police disclosed in a press release.
