Ghanaian Highlife Musician and politician, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has declared his intention to contest the Gomoa Central Constituency in the 2024 election as an independent Parliamentary Candidate.
According to him, he is motivated to contest because he wants to help the teeming unemployed youth to get jobs.
In an interview with GHOne News Yaw Boagyan, A Plus accused the opposition National Democratic Congress of deceiving the Youth of Gomoa Central as they have failed to fulfill their campaign promises.
He believes he is the only person who can help bring massive development to the area when voted for.
A Plus is confident of beating anybody who will contest him in the election, adding that “even if Vice President Bawumia contests him, he [A Plus] will beat him because he has the support of leaders of the traditional area and the constituents.
In addition, Some politicians including the National Democratic Congress Communication Officer Sammy Gyemfi and others said, they support Kwame A Plus as he has declared his intention to contest the Gomoa Central Parliamentry seat.
A Plus disclosed his political intention on the sidelines of his father’s funeral at Gomoa Pomadze in the Gomoa Central Constituency.
The funeral brought together many politicians, celebrities, Chiefs among others.
