Superintendent George Asare, one of the Police officers implicated in the leaked tape allegedly plotting to get the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare removed has asked three witnesses to testify before the committee investigating the issue.
The Officer’s lawyers have sent a letter to the Committee’s Chairman requesting the presence of Ishaw Yakubu, Samuel Ofori and ASP Bawa Abdul Jalil.
During the Parliamentary committee hearing, Supt. Asare made serious accusations against the IGP.
Both Supt. Asare and COP George Alex Asare requested a closed-door session to provide details of their claims against the IGP.
