A level 400 student at the University of Education, Winneba has allegedly committed suicide in her hostel at Winneba in the Effutu Municipality of the Central Region.
Information gathered by Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan indicates that, the student, Rita Anane was studying Information and Communication Technology, and was part of the Education Students Society preparing to do her internship when the misfortune death occurred.
The deceased for some time now was having issues with her boyfriend and frequently quarreled.
It is suspected that somebody might have killed her and hanged her on a ceiling fan because her legs were touching the floor.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend has been arrested and assisting police investigation.
The body of the deceased has been conveyed by Winneba Police to the Winneba Specialist and Trauma Hospital Mortuary.
