The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako has warned he will cause the arrest of Flagbearer hopeful, Ken Agyapong if he threatens him again in his political activities.
He indicated that he will not take Ken Agyapong’s threat lightly as similar threats to Tiger Eye’s investigative journalist Ahmed Swale caused the latter’s unfortunate death.
“You’ve made many unguarded statements; you claim you’ve regretted being in NPP and also insult NPP members as fools. You are fond on threatening people, and this must cease today. Otherwise, if you threaten me again, I will cause your arrest, and this is an advice to you. I say so because you made such threat on Ahmed Suale and shortly after he was killed. And so, I urge you not to continue with such threats anymore from today,” Chairman Wontumi fumed during a press conference in Kumasi on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
The media event was in response to comments by the Assin Central Member of Parliament during his showdown walk in Kumasi last weekend.
Chairman Wontumi described Ken’s statements during the mini rally as full of lies which must be treated with contempt it deserves.
He described Ken Agyapong as a very disrespectful person who has insulted every group of people in Ghana including judges, police and pastors among others.
