Supporters of Ken Agyapong, a Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in his hometown, Assin Dompim in the Central Region have embarked on fasting and all night prayer session for the aspirant ahead of the November 4, 2023 election.
The supporters believe that the selection of a leader for the NPP and the country by extension has some spiritual connotation, and this can be achieved only with the guidance of the Almighty God.
Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan reports that the supporters wearing white clothes to signify victory, embarked on a candle-holding parade down Assin Dompim’s main street in observance of the fast and all-night prayers that were observed by churches of all kinds on Thursday, September 2, 2023.
An all-night joint service was also held on Friday October 3, 2023 at the durbar grounds in his hometown asking God to deliver victory for the son of the soil.
Ken Agyapong is one of the main contenders in the NPP Presidential primary.
Many Political watchers say he’s a threat to the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawmia who is also contesting in the Flagbearer race.
