The 28-year-old collapsed in the 23rd minute of the game and had to be rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

Dwamena has been playing with an Implantable Cardioverter-Defribillator due to a heart problem.

The lanky forward’s first case of a heart condition was when his move to Brighton hit the snag due to failing his medical.

He returned to Austria, where he was playing for Austria Lustenau and later FC Zurich, before earning a big move to Levante in Spain.

However, after different collapse cases, his career saw him move to Albania, where he was handed another lifeline.

He made nine appearances for the Black Stars of Ghana, scoring on his debut for the national team.

He started his career with Red Bull Salzburg before later joining Austria Lustenau. He also played for FC Zurich, Levante, Real Zaragoza, Velje Bodklub, BW Linz, and KF Egnatia.

He fell down and looked unconscious during the early stages of the game, forcing referee Andreas Heiss, to stop the match.

According to Skysports Austria, the Ghanaian forward is currently stable but has been hospitalized following the unfortunate incident.
