The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will today, Saturday, January 27, 2024 elect parliamentary candidates in areas with incumbent Members of Parliament to represent the party in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary election.
Constituencies expected to have keen contest include Bantama, Ashanti-Akim North and Adansi Asokwa in the Ashanti Region and Dome-Kwabenya in the Grester Accra Region.
A total of 326 aspirants are contesting in the election in 100 constituencies in 15 regions out of the 16 regions due to the party not having a seat in the Oti region.
