The Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency who doubles as the deputy Majority Leader of Parliament Hon.Alexander Afenyo Markin has commissioned five ultra-modern projects to five communities within the Effutu Municipality of the Central Region.
The projects include libraries and Community Centers.
A Community centre was commissioned and handed over to the Chiefs and people of were Ahwer Nkwanta. Another Community center was handed over to the people of New Winneba. At Kojo Beedu a library and ICT center were commissioned and handover to the Community, while at Woarabeba a Community center was also presented.
At Osbonpanyin, the town also received a Community center while at Gyahadze a library was also handed over.
Sod cuttings were also done to begin construction more Community centers, libraries and offices.
Most of the projects commissioned and handed over were named after late noble men who played their roles well in their respective communities.
Addressing the Chiefs, Teachers, Community Members in all the beneficiary Communities, the Deputy Majority Leader Hon.Alexender Afenyo Markin promised to do his best to seek development for the Effutu Municipality.
He promised to ensure every community within the Effutu Municipality benefit from him and the New Patriotic Party government.
Afenyo Markin further assured that he will see to it that all deplorable roads within the small communities in the Effutu Municipality are fixed.
According to the lawyer cum politician, he wants every child in the Effutu Municipality to enjoy quality education and have access to morden way of learning by the use of computers and electronic libraries.
Afenyo Markin promised every Community will get it’s share of projects he is distributing in the communities without discrimination.
He advised the beneficiary communities to adopt the Culture of maintenance for the projects to last long and also serve the right purpose.
He promised to donate laptops to all newly posted Teachers in the Basic Schools from the Effutu Municipality as part of his One Teacher, One Laptop Campaign policy.
Afenyo-Markin also promised to build an ultra-modern six Unit Classroom block for the Gyahadze Community as their school building is currently not fit for purpose.
Afenyo Markin advised Parents to allow their wards to benefit and enjoy from the library and the ICT centers.
Meanwhile, over 500 sets of computers were distributed in all the Libraries and the ICT centers commissioned.
Afenyo Markin then advised his constituents to get tested for the Hypertitist B and be vaccinated as he has raised a fund for that.
Speaking to Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, some of the beneficiary Community Members applauded Afenyo Markin for the kind gesture and promised to retain him as their Member of Parliament till he retire from active politics.
Some of the Chiefs also commended the Effutu Member of Parliament for his continues support.
Some of the Chiefs, promised to be by his side in all his endeavours especially during this year’s election.
The Chiefs said they are seeing massive development under the leadership of Afenyo Markin and the New Patriotic Party and has urged him to do more.
Afenyo is expecting to commission more projects in the upcoming days in many Communities in the Effutu Municipality.
“Do the Do” as Chiefs and Residents call Afenyo Markin, the MP has promised to do more and serve his people diligently.
