The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has extended its warmest wishes to all Muslims in Ghana and across the globe on the occasion of the commencement of the Ramadan Fast.
Ramadan, a sacred period within the Islamic calendar, is observed by Muslims worldwide through fasting, in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the principles of the Islamic faith.
Ramadan holds profound significance as the month when the Holy Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), making it the most revered time of the year for Muslims. Through fasting, believers experience hunger and thirst, fostering empathy for those who endure scarcity every day, and engage in acts of charity to fully embrace the abundant blessings of this sacred month.
In urging all Muslims in Ghana and beyond to wholeheartedly embrace the spiritual essence of Ramadan, the New Patriotic Party calls upon them to dedicate themselves to fervent prayers to Almighty Allah for His benevolence upon our beloved nation.
A statement signed by National Chairman, Stephen Ntim said: ”Particularly, we invoke divine guidance for a peaceful and transparent general election. Once again, Ramadan Mubarak, and may Almighty Allah accept our fasts and grant us the highest abode in Jannatul Firdaus.”
