The Minority in Parliament has dared the Minister for Interior, Henry Quartey to make public names of its members who submitted a list for secret recruitments into security services.

The Minister in a reaction to the alarm sounded by the Minority over the development stated some minority MPs submitted names for recruitment threatening to make such names public.

Addressing the media today, Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson insisted 30 slots have indeed been allocated to NPP PCs across the country contrary to the denial by the majority.

Dr. Forson served notice of a motion for a Parliamentary probe into recruitments since 2017 arguing the claim of clearing of backlog is untenable.

MP for Sagnerigu ABA Fuseini on his part threatened that impeachment processes will be triggered against the minister if it’s proven he lied.

Former Director-General for the Prisons Service and MP for Talensi BT Baba warned against politicization of the security services.
